About Laurie SluchinskiLaurie Sluchinksi is the Owner of Boo La La (previously Carol’s Costume Corner) and took over the 25 year old business in 2005. Having always been fond of playing dress-up as a child, Sluchinski graduated university with a degree in women’s studies before heading to Montreal for fashion school. Graduating with a degree in fashion design, she returned to Vancouver to attend a costume boot camp, joined the team at Carol’s as a manager and now holds her position as owner and reigning Empress. An expert costumer for any era, theme or concept you may have, Sluchinski is ready with a smile to take your project to the next level with her extensive costume collection.
About Dani BarnesDani is our head stylist and has been with the company for over three years. She is well known for her ability to create costume magik with her fashion based styling background. Her unique personal style adds flair and edge to any costume project including film, photography and her personal favorite- eccentric costume parties! She experiments in the underground fashion scene and is currently working on a collection of designer wigs to be sold exclusively at Boo La La. |
